Spiritual Care
WHAT IS SPIRITUAL CARE?
The spiritual care team at Jericho Road exists to provide support, encouragement, and healing to people in their relationships with themselves, with others, and with God. Spiritual care is always fully directed by the patient or client, which means that no one is ever required to receive spiritual care.
WHO CAN RECEIVE SPIRITUAL CARE?
Everyone can benefit from spiritual care. Whether or not we have given much attention to our spiritual health, a conversation with a spiritual care provider is an opportunity to find support and love in places of need, ask for direction from God in places of uncertainty, and receive encouragement or prayer in places of hardship.
SPIRITUAL CARE IS SELF-DIRECTED.
The goal of spiritual care is to foster healing through love. As such, it is always provided with respect for different faith traditions and perspectives. Spiritual care providers will NEVER force someone to listen to them or speak negatively about a person’s beliefs.
