The mission of Parents As Teachers (PAT) is to enhance the optimal early development, education, and well-being of children by providing support and engagement for their parents and caregivers through monthly home visits. This program is rooted in research and evidence, offering a comprehensive curriculum, training, and professional resources tailored to empower professionals involved in home visitation. Our certified Parent Educators are well-prepared to facilitate these meetings and possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to assist families in nurturing young children.

This initiative caters to families with infants through the first two years of a child’s life within the Buffalo area. The primary objective is to enhance parents’ understanding of early childhood development and foster positive parenting practices. Additionally, we emphasize bolstering children’s readiness for school and long-term success while promoting the overall health and well-being of parents, children, and families through activities, educational materials, and informative handouts. Parents are encouraged to engage in activities such as playing, reading, and interacting with their children as they progress in their development.
